Introducing Hey Bippy: A Target Takeoff Household Essentials Cohort Company

As the Target Takeoff (TT) program runs its first ever Household Essentials program, the Target Accelerators team is learning about all of the ways that our cohort is bringing sustainability to the forefront. The Bippy team knows all about sustainability as they are conquering it in the more…discrete categories.

Meet Bippy.

Founders Lisa Frame and Isidro Hurtado

TT: How would you describe Bippy to readers?

Bippy is an eco-friendly essentials line exclusively for butts! Our mission is to save the 27,000 trees that are chopped down every day by big toilet paper. We do this by making 100% tree-free toilet paper and wet wipes that are soft on your butt and the planet.

Is your butt ready to save some trees from the drain?

TT: What makes you most excited about working with Target Accelerators?

We are so excited to get an inside peek into the decision making at Target and meet 1:1 with the people that make Target the brand and store we all love. Most brands get one chance to make a first impression (if they are lucky) and we get 5 weeks of impressions! We have a backstage pass and we couldn’t be more thrilled.

TT: What are your priorities for Bippy today and what challenges have come from the current environment?

We are quickly moving into a new phase of our business which is really exciting (and a little scary) of product development and building out our warehousing and fulfillment capabilities. We can’t tour any of our warehouses like we have done in the past so we are going on Zoom tours (yes, it’s a thing) which has been pretty wild.

TT: What advice would you give to other entrepreneurs who are navigating this current environment?

When you start to panic or feel anxious about everything happening in the world and all of its uncertainty remember everyone is going through it. Try your hardest to find positives or even laugh at some of the setbacks you will experience during these times. Can’t tour a warehouse? Zoom it! Supply chain issues? Use it as a moment to reach out to your customers. Control what you can and let go of what you can’t. Use your lack of experience to your advantage; you get to disrupt the status quo. Treat every person you meet as a potential new mentor and learn as much as you can from them, especially people with boots on the ground. Our biggest mentors have been FedEx drivers! 99.9% of people want to see you succeed so keep your chin up and keep going.
